The site is and has been revised over recent months, in order to decrease the down load time. Catalogue pages are in the process of being reduced to under 30 photographs - optimum number is probably around twenty and this is being done by splitting the larger pages. Pleases allow time for pages to load.
NEW OR REVISED PHOTOGRAPHS ARE CONSTANTLY BEING ADDED.
In July 2007 a selection of photographs from the 'Inside Passge' from Vancouver to Alaska were added.
March 2007 saw two Galleries of Photochrom pictures taken between 1890 and 1905 added. These pictures are fascinating for their historic value both as photographs and for the ships and harbours themselves. The first Gallery shows British ships and harbours while the second shows those elsewhere in Europe with a focus on the Swiss and Italian Rivieras.
February 2007 introduced a selection of photographs from John Mitchell taken in Scandinavia. The quality of his work has lead me to include some duplication of earlier photographs.
December 2006 saw the addition of photographs from Graeme Simpson taken while cruising in the Americas. His Gallery starts with a number of cruise ships, followed by a couple of merchants ships and concludes with selection of yachts. He makes excellent use of the light with some beautiful shots of involving sea, sky, clouds and of course the ships themselves. I am grateful to him for allowing me to included them on this site.
